Colverts de Sabournac
Ducks mallards are selected and raised on the lake for shooting to develop their attachement to lake. The mallard is hunted every day, from August 15h till January 31t.
The hunting of the mallard is made from drawn lots fixed spots, in some trackings, with spots change. We shoot exclusively with the nickel plated shot n°6, 5 or 4 (available on spot in 12, 16 and 20), and rather with chokés rifles. Birds have varied trajectories which surprise the biggest rifles.
The hunting takes place in the continuous day. The meeting is fixed at 9:00 am. After the drawing lots of the numbers of spots, tracking succeed one to another until the realization of the wished list. A meal is served at the edge of the pond in the middle of morning. The list, presented during the drink, is followed by a late lunch. After the fall of sheets(leaves), it is possible to create shooting lines in the forests with very difficult posts.
Until October 15th, after the hunting, the flight on the pond of several thousand ducks is a surprising spectacle.
