Spiral Horn Safaris is based in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, two nautical miles from the border of Botswana. Your host is Louis van Bergen, owner and outfitter of Spiral Horn Safaris.
Bow hunters, Buffelsvlei Game Lodge has been specially set aside just for you. Privately owned by Louis van Bergen it offers six perfectly situated bow blinds and more than fourteen different species available for the picking.
Rifle hunters, there are several concession areas to choose from, these areas include Gnu Ranch South Africa, 50 000 acres in the Thule Block Botswana and 15 000 acres of prime concession land around Buffelsvlei game lodge.
These areas provide lush bushveld and perfect hunting conditions as well as species ranging from small Steen buck antelope to the majestic elephant bulls.
Spiral Horn Safaris offers several different means of transport. It can be arranged that you travel by motor vehicle or shuttle services to and from all the hunting areas. Spiral Horn Safaris also has a privately owned Piper Cherokee 6 seated aeroplane.
Flying is the preferred method of transport, because it saves travelling time and allows for more hunting.
As your professional hunter, outfitter and host you will be accompanied throughout your safari by Louis van Bergen. Louis is an extremely competent and capable hunter. Louis has been hunting plains game from the age of six.
Louis also has experience in hunting big five. The hunting of Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Hippo became a way of life in Zambia which is where Louis spent 2008 hunting.
